La Fonda is a lovely hotel in the Pueblo (village) of Benalmádena, well away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. The architecture in this area is quintessentially Spanish and consequently the whole area is beautiful. Much nicer than the more commercialised centre of Benalmádena. The room itself in the hotel was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. We also used the hotel parking facility which is a short walk away and very reasonably priced at €5 per night. One word of warning if you are driving to the hotel by car though. If you're navigating here using Google Maps, don't let it take you down Dr Jeronimo street. This route takes you through some very narrow (albeit picturesque) streets which aren't really suitable for a large estate car. If you're coming from the direction of Benalmádena then just carry straight on and then turn left just after the traffic lights that govern the traffic through the narrow street section. Drive down that road and turn right at the roundabout and then the entrance to the hotel parking is about a half mile along there on the left just before you reach the next junction. You'll need to use the buzzer to be let into the underground car park.

The most beautiful boutique hotel. Our room had a double door terrace with the most stunning views. I got the most divine treatment in the Spa. The jewel in the crown however is EL SCORPIO the restaurant. The nicest meals we have had on the Costa Del Sol. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

visit. We love Benalmedina Peublo and this Hotel is lovely. Exceptionally clean. The views from the hotel sun terrace are stunning. The meals are exquisite with a lot of attention to detail and reasonable prices for the tapas lunchtime. I would recommend the spa. A wonderful experience for just €20. I also found a gym there too which is free of charge for guests which I will certainly be using on my next visit. Which I hope will not be too long to wait.

It looks beautiful, it's clean, the staff are friendly, the room was nice, the breakfast was decent. My only complaint is that there was a bit of a bad smell coming from the bathroom at all times, must be something with the pipes. Closing the door fixed that, and it wasn't very noticeable.
